Well, Harvey Penick was a, uh, the pro at Austin Country Club from 1922 to 1972.

So for 50 years he was the head at Austin Country Club and renowned as an instructor.

Never any plans of ever writing a book or anything.

We were very lucky there.

That came out in '92.

I was working early, uh, 1993 at Golfsmith, and the owners at Golfsmith were members at Austin Country Club.

Golf professionals held jobs at country clubs and they played when they could and when they could get permission.

For example, the great Harvey Penick played in the second Texas Open and he had to get permission from Austin Country Club to take the days off to go do that.

There's a pro named Al Baroche.

He shot the first 60 in the history of the PGA Tour at the Texas Open.

Yeah, that is quite the dilemma.

Dell Technologies and Michael Dell and Company were a part of the title sponsor of the match play event for seven or eight years out at the Austin Country Club.

But yes, they're not going to do the full freight without a doubt five months out to this event in Austin, Barton Creek, mid-November.

It was one of my favorite events, and Dell put on a phenomenal event every single year, in my opinion.

And Austin Country Club was such a great venue for those guys.

I mean, there was Risk, Reward, Birdies, Eagles.

Great golf course.

Yeah, it was great.

That time went on using Austin Country Club.

We started to recognize what holes are out there.

That's just gonna be fun.

They should bring it back to Austin Country Club at some point just 'cause that was such a, uh, a staple of that sort of golf, and maybe, maybe we'll have-

And a great, great course for it.

I think a great course overall.

He's retired.

He's hanging out at the country club, and he meets Celeste Johnson while she was working as a waitress at the Austin Country Club, where he was a member.

Celeste was approximately 30 years old and had already been married three times before that.

So 30, already married three times.

I, I think the, um, the kind of deciding factor in the match play debate is the golf course.

Like, if, when you've got the, the, the match play on the PGA Tour that doesn't exist anymore, playing at Austin Country Club or so, it's just, it, it is not as engaging in a, in a final where there's nothing else to watch other than loads of adverts.

But yesterday we had Marion, you've got crowds walking the fairway, you've got the Rolex hour, and as you say, you, when you're engaged in the course, you get to kind of watch the ebb and flow.

And, and that moment on th- on 11, I think you're spot on saying that was, like, a defining moment.
