Was there a defining moment when you realised that words and ideas could actually become valuable business assets?
2:31
There were two moments I'd like to tell you about.
2:33
I'll tell you about the first one, which was the first time that I realized that words matter so much.
2:41
My husband and I had just started a business.
2:43
We were madly in love.
2:44
We were two kids in our 20s with children.
2:47
No nickels to rub together, but credit cards.

15:34
Now, for you, when you work with an expert who has years of knowledge in their head but hasn't really monetized that intellectual property where do you even start with writing the book
21:58
So how do you differentiate? How do you pick? How do you know?
22:05
Well, for me, I meditate in the morning.
22:08
I ask for guidance.
22:09
I journal.
22:11
And I feel into it like what feels like a you should do this and what feels like I could do this.
22:20
And so the turning point there was really deciding to lean into the idea that I am a part of this divine, wonderful world, and that God made this little person, Aurora, to do something great, and that how is she going to help others? And so my turning point was really deciding if I am the light of the world in my little world, then what would be the best use of somebody like me who's got decades of experience in communication and loves coaching people and finding the gold in the story? And I realized the best use of somebody like me or the best use of me would be to launch thought leaders and help them write books, create videos, and really claim what's unique and special about them, their business, and what they're up to.
23:08
Because most people are really great at what they do, but it's not natural to also be a great communicator and also know how to use stories.

internet
11:07
But like you said, I am the one, driving the car
11:13
exactly right you're using it the right way Julie so as long as you're aware of what are your superpowers and what are not your superpowers then you can use AI wisely but I have noticed that if you if I love AI because it Like you, I find it can unleash creativity.
11:31
I especially love using it for video.
11:34
So while I help people at Same Page Publishing, we help people with their books, we help people get their message clear.
11:40
But I also love helping people with their videos because the new AI tools have made sort of Hollywood level video production easier.
11:51
available at a speed and a cost that wasn't available even a year ago.
11:57
So the cost and the speed have been reduced by a factor of about 100.

15 MINS LATER

27:01
Is that kind of what you would use it for?
9:43
How do the wrong words trigger defense or lack of action as opposed to the right words choosing a buying action?
9:53
Well, you said it exactly.
9:55
The brain hears blah, blah, blah with the first explanation.
9:59
Even worse...
10:00
The people can really only pay attention for about, you need to grab somebody's attention in five to eight seconds.
10:07
If you grab their attention, they may listen to you for hours.
10:10
But that first message I gave, it was longer than eight seconds.
14:47
So how do we take advantage and deliver our message in record time, like in under a minute?
7:42
Do you find any value there?
7:43
By the way, you mentioned the capitalist book.
7:45
So I love this book, how to thrive as a writer in a capitalist dystopia.
7:50
So if you haven't read it, you might want to read it.
7:51
All right.
7:52
So yes, exactly right.
7:54
So after stories, and I think everybody's well served to collect those stories.

23:31
So we started this little business that could
7:26
Where does that come in, again, in this AI discussion we're talking about? Why is video this movie trailer mindset that you've espoused? Why does that come into play some more?
7:37
Yeah, I'm so excited about this as a marketer for the benefit of the listeners or viewers.
7:42
My background's in film and television.
7:44
I'm an award-winning screenwriter, former TV producer.
7:47
I raised $5 million for a company that made eight films.
7:50
So I love video.
7:52
And what happened just a few months ago is the new AI tools have made cost-effective cinematic video possible.
12:55
kind of mentality that, and particularly let's stay with AI for a second, it's are you just going to accept it or you're going to embrace it and use it faster, earlier than your competitor?
6:16
But how do you see this translating into a book? And obviously something that's much longer.
6:22
It applies to every element of communication.
6:26
And so I invite people to just think about your title of your book.
6:30
Make it really clear what problems you solve.
6:32
Think about the subtitle of your book and test it.
6:35
But every bit of information, like every chapter, should start with a hook.
6:40
In my books, usually the chapters start with a little quote that grabs attention really quickly.

13 MINS LATER

19:30
I want to read that book.
