First of all, I want to say thank you to both of you, but I don't have a chance.

But also, Dr. Wei, I think it's fascinating that you developed this as a trainee.

So I think that's really good for our trainees to hear that there's no youngest age to start studying.

some really great research ideas and to really carry those through.

I think that's fantastic.

So I have a couple questions.

So we operate on a lot of patients.

Dr. Duncan, what was it about this paper that stood out to you when you picked it for this month's spotlight?

Thank you, and thank you for that excellent summary.

I feel like sometimes there are a lot of VQI studies in our literature, but sometimes with the large numbers, we lose a good sense of what the clinical question is.

And I felt like this study actually answered a true clinical question that we have, which is patients who show up with failed endovascular, what is the next best step? Because it's very tempting to continue to do endovascular procedures.

So I felt like it had a really direct translational component to it.

The second thing is, and I know we'll talk about it a little more, is the use of the propensity score matching, which I think is something that we can do when we have these large, you know, database numbers and something that, that makes the data more relevant.

than just presenting it in a descriptive or a direct comparative way.

So but it's a different, a different perspective that studied in both, you know, uh, Best CLI, and BASIL the same also, they excluded people with prior.
