Atrocity propaganda

They're not stupid.

They know Hamas is an M.O., But they needed to promote atrocity propaganda to justify what was inevitably going to be a mass slaughter event of Palestinians.

To the extent of that mass slaughter, I think it was still up in the air.

But certainly that was the emergent consensus within hours of the attack.

So To maintain that level of raw carnage, which again, if people recall, was 300, 400 people a day were being killed.

Indeed, some days had 600 or 700, and one day in late October had 1,000 killed.

That level of just raw brutality and violence in mass killing needed to have a correspondingly horrific atrocity propaganda to justify.

And obviously, you had 250 or so captives that were taken by Hamas.
