Atokos

Videos of lovely black pigs swimming in the sea just off the coast of a small Greek island in the Ionian Sea.

It's a small uninhabited island called Atokos, and yes, there are herds of black pigs that live there and love swimming in the sea.

And it's perhaps not a surprise that this phenomenon has become an internet sensation, especially because of all the baby piglets that also enjoy swimming.

Oh, I was about to voice skepticism that like this is utterly not news.

Well, tourists from around the world are heading to a tiny island in the Mediterranean where local residents are hogging the spotlight.

No people live there, but herds of black pigs are wandering onto the beach in Atokos, Greece, and taking a dip.

Others are sunbathing on the shore with visitors-

We went to an amazing island.

Have you ever been to the island of, where's my notes here? What's it called again? Atticus, A-T-O-K-O-S Island, the one with the wild pigs? Not sure.

Okay, so it's not far from Meganissi and it's a little island and privately owned, and there is a community of pigs there.

They look like boar to me, but anyway, they're called pigs.
