Atlin

epic camping trip to the Yukon one summer a couple years back.

We decided to check out this cute town called Atlin, and stay the night at a campsite we hadn't originally planned to stay at, was recommended by our campsite neighbor earlier in the trip.

It was a long day of driving, and we had about an hour of light to set up camp and make dinner, and it was very misty and looked like rain.

The site was the last one down this long road that had many sites along the way, but we were the only ones for a few to go much.

So awesome, Chuck, as you know, right? Like you need something.

It doesn't matter if you're in Atlin or if you're in Kamloops.

I'm sure you could jump on Spike Camp and say, hey, I need a hand.

Or you jump, you know, someone from Wild Sheep knows somebody.

Again, it was completely silent the whole town, and no surprise became the talk of the town for some time.

Now, one final, really dramatic case occurred in November 1996 when Cindy, who requested her last name be withheld, left Skagway and was driving to Atlin.

And she was near the Six Mile River, came around a corner, and saw a gigantic UFO.

Stunned by its appearance, she stopped the car.

So she got back in her car and did.

She followed it.

and it guided her all the way to Atlin.

Now, this is a trip which should have taken about three hours, but it took about nine hours, and she arrived at her destination at 3 a.m. Now, she was going to a building which should have been locked up, but it wasn't.

If you're five hours away from Starbucks, obviously gets more logistically complex.

We're 30 minutes from a really nice coffee shop in the town of Atlin and about an hour and a half from Whitehorse.

So, yeah.

That kind of gives us optionality for tidewater in Skagway.
