N
21:41Nick FooteHOST
There's one girl I wanted to take out of the Atlantic Jewel behind Pretty Baby.
N
21:46Nick FooteHOST
It would be Profligate.
N
21:47Nick FooteHOST
She's $4.60 on the second line of betting here behind Portanari.

I'm risking Port Nari.
C
12:58Campbell BrownHOST
I just think it's still a maiden, this horse, and while it's run well in, you know, Group 2 Blue Diamond Prelude and the Quisette Stakes, I thought it had every chance to run better last start at Sandown in the Atlantic Jewel, and I'm happy to risk it.
C
13:13Campbell BrownHOST
The horse that I really, really, really like here is number eight, Talaga Bay, the Mark Walker filly.
C
13:20Campbell BrownHOST
Nice and professional.

B

Great to see a South Australian come to Melbourne and do so well.
B
12:33Bruce SladeHOST
Pretty special, of course, a daughter of Barbados winning the Atlantic Jewel there at Sandown on Saturday.
B
12:39Bruce SladeHOST
I had to look into Barbados because you always see that horse pop up, especially if you're watching South Australian racing.
B
12:46Bruce SladeHOST
And it was good to have a look at his career, a horse that really has had very limited opportunities, producing an average of 23 foals a season.

Gordon Richards and Damien Wall of terrific performance in the Atlantic Jewel.
T
0:53Trav NoonanHOST
The Mackenzie Stakes going the way of Blind Raves, who puts his hand up as a Caulfield Guineas contender for Trent and Natalie as he pushes on towards the the spring carnival and the performance of the day, no doubt going the way of my gladiola, a group one success for John McArdle and Jamie Mott, the Mornington base pair.
T
1:12Trav NoonanHOST
And great to see John with another group one winner after the deeds of hollow bullet going back.

T
19:50Trav NoonanHOST
This is the Atlantic Jewel Stakes, and I reckon Atlantic Jewel would be pretty happy just looking at the performance here of Pretty Baby.
T
19:57Trav NoonanHOST
She was outstanding here, the South Australian filly, in her Victorian debut.

T
2:07Trav NoonanHOST
And the Chautauqua at 1,300 metres around Sandown.
T
2:11Trav NoonanHOST
I reckon he would have been pretty hard to hold out at Sandown with his big barnstorming finish, the Great Grey Chautauqua.
T
6:31Trav NoonanHOST
It's just, that's never going to happen.
T
6:33Trav NoonanHOST
Yeah, it's frustrating.
N
6:34Nick NoonanHOST
But yeah, we're dealing with the cards we're dealt at the moment, aren't we? But I think today is a good sort of to remember a few of the champions of the past with a big what-if story with Atlantic Jewel.

T

How do you see the race?
T
23:13Trav NoonanHOST
I think the step up to 1,300 from 1,200 only advantages her.
T
23:18Trav NoonanHOST
the daughter of saint mark's basilica you think she'll get better as the distances go further i think she can go forward and give you a sight a bit of a gap back to the third selection the four pretty baby just worried that she steps slow and she's going to give these a big start but uh be impressed with what she's done on the clock in adelaide late and the a to profligate i've got some time for her maybe this might not be a race but expect her to be Finishing off strongly late.

Number one, I went Atlantic Jewel 2013.
N
12:01Nick NoonanHOST
Now, you look back at the other four of El Segundo, so you think Maccabi Deva, they've all sort of only won by half a length, whereas Atlantic Jewel absolutely brained them.
N
12:11Nick NoonanHOST
She won by 2.25 lengths, beating Furlack, super cool.
N
12:14Nick NoonanHOST
Look at the field she beat here.
N
12:18Nick NoonanHOST
Then you had Green Moon, Melbourne Cup winner, Fiorante, Melbourne Cup winner, Happy Trails, Silent Achiever.
N
12:24Nick NoonanHOST
Like it was a deep field and she just made them all look second rate on that occasion, didn't she?
T
12:29Trav NoonanHOST
Yeah, and it was the welcome back of Atlantic Jewel.
