The other reason is that AI is so much more than just LLMs.

Who said AGI just has to be a scaled-up large language model? We already have MuZero from Google DeepMind, which could master Go, chess, and Atari without even knowing the rules.

It uses reinforcement learning and Monte Carlo search, which is very different from an LLM.

In the MuZero paper released in 2020, we learned that it was trained in around 12 hours, and it was able to match the performance of AlphaZero in Go in those 12 hours of training.
