(At Your Best) You Are Love

We were in my shabby second year apartment in college at UC Santa Barbara with the door locked to my shared bedroom.

I remember inching my hand closer during Frank Ocean's cover of At Your Best, You Are Love.

I remember when she told me that she had a boyfriend.

The living room was full of people when she left.

It's about an hour and it's called Endless.

And it is just this very electronic, electronica meets the Beach Boys.

It starts with this acoustic rendition of At Your Best, Your Love, which is an Aaliyah cover, which is Aaliyah covering the Isley Brothers.

And it is just this gorgeous, gorgeous sound that picks up right where Channel Orange leaves off.
