At-Taghabun

If your deeds are good, then your reward will be good, and if your deeds are evil, then your recompense will be evil.

The next surah is Surah Al-Taghabun, which is a madani surah.

And from the objectives of the surah is warning against matters that will lead to regret and detriment on the day of resurrection.

Bismillah

Perhaps he may later be unable to make up for what he neglected because death comes unexpectedly or because his ability weakens.

If a person could not bring himself to perform righteous deeds before the opportunity passed, then how can he hope for a delay of the appointed term when it inevitably arrives? And if we fail to take advantage of our opportunities, then on the day of judgment we will be the losers.

Allah says in Surah At-Taghabun, The day he gathers you for the day of gathering, that is the day of mutual gain and loss.

Imam Al-Aloosi mentions, What is meant by the one who is truly deprived and outgained is the person who loses his family and his place in paradise.
