Why do you know all that obscure stuff? I've never heard the word atromech ever in my life.

Astromech.

I think it's because

I got a little.

And, like, I have a pretty set squad, and I'm pretty attached to them.

I like swapping in Cly and Cobb and, you know, the other story characters, but I mostly just roll with Jay and Trick and the Astromech [laughs] who is basically the R2-D2 robot.

Do either of you play with the Astromech?

Oh, yeah.

Oh, yeah.

It's hard to shake the sense that, like, this game isn't gonna be getting balance patches, at least for a while.

And it, it might, it might be that there are people working on it, but it just hasn't seemed like there's this really active and responsive dialogue between players and the developers.

And I wouldn't be surprised if the, you know, situation behind the scenes is part of why, because there are things like the Astromech, and Cly, the Mandalorian bounty hunter for that matter, which are a little, seem a little bit broken or at least are so dominant that once you start using them, you kind of just can't stop.

And specifically with companions, you not only get to have, um, pre-written companions, but you also get to create your own if you wanna have, like, your own sort of custom squad and things like that.

How do you go about avoiding sort of like clear favorites and making sure that the player can feel like they're justified in their decision to bring on a full roster of, like, astromechs, [laughs] for example-

... or astro droids if they want to, versus making sure that they're bringing, like, Cab and, um, Trick and, you know, everyone else that's a pre-written companion?

Trick, I'm telling you guys, because Trick is with us and he's had lots of running with robots and I guarantee lots of them haven't been good.

Me, just as a personal level, I don't like the Astromech droids.

I think they're up to no good.

And I keep getting this mission.

I delayed it so long until it was my only task that I could do on my quests was build the Astromech lab.

I just like on day nine, I think I built it because the game wouldn't let me progress until I did it.

And I was like, I was like, what? is going on with this fucking game making me get the robots on my team.

My core team, like you can bring four people on a mission at a time.

My core team was Hawks, Trick, Luko, and BR1, the Astromech.

Sometimes I would swap... br out for it sounds like i'm saying b arthur uh sometimes i would swap out the astromech for tell ray the padawan but my go-to's were hawks trick and luco largely because i wanted to max out trick and luco's relationship

It's interesting that you would pick the droid over the force user.

So, um, yeah, I would be really interested to see sort of how that shakes out.

Maybe you can have everyone die and just, uh, have a whole team of Astromechs and they're all just beeping and booping, and you've just got James there or something.

Got the Canon tab, and there's even a lot in Canons, of course, because of the wonderful Clone Wars animated series.

So I've liked that because I was a, you know, 60s music fan myself.

So I like that.

And it was before the Clone Wars animated series.

Again, this was kind of the only really clone we got to know, I felt.

So it starts off with the 212th Battalion pilot with Seven Fleet Gunner.

ablative plating this time um but then he's got uh the three jedi so he's got um anakin in a clt um with r2a6 and extreme maneuvers then obi-wan kenobi in the 7b with r2d2 and ahsoka tano in the 7b with heightened perception and a flight assist astromech um Really cool upgrade and heightened perception on Ahsoka offsets the fact that she's low initiative in the engagement stage.

So again, this is just about three Jedi punching really, really hard, supported by that lat.

And not forgetting, Anakin can get five dice bangers out of a CLT with seven fleet gunner.

Um, but those are the, um, so not, not many changes in the, uh, faction specific upgrades.

Um, really just Sepris Republic got hit there, but in the generics has been a few changes.

So flight assist Astromech has gone up to four from three.

This is a really good upgrade, um, allowing you to double boost and double barrel roll.
