Astro City is amazing.

That's another book I still need to read.

And what's great about Astro City is you don't...

But we actually started mostly on time and, you know, that sort of thing.

So the Busiek bundle, along with all of Astro City, it's got all of Aerosmith.

Yeah.

It's got all of Autumnlands.

Um, and it's kind of delving into that, which is, I don't think it's a lot of play, just because people want to see Superman who flies and does all that kind of stuff.

But in terms of telling stories, and it may also be because this setting for a superhero story reminds me of Astro City a lot.

But I'm looking forward to Superman, you know...

Really well known for Astro City, which I think is a fantastic comic book.

This is kind of like the blueprint for it.

You kind of see where, I don't know, have you ever read Astro City, Tim? No, I

hadn't even heard about it until just doing some research.

Yeah, this is where it kind of it's basically this.

It's like telling these more down to earth stories.

Astro City mixes the stories with civilians and heroes.

thinking of, like, Astro City.

Yeah, exactly.

It's just kind of like, here's a bunch of one-off stories about an idea of a superhero.

He has debilitating headaches now.

Yeah, I think so.

He did Astro City, which is like his big independent thing.

He also did the original run of Thunderbolts that people really like, and I think what is still considered to be the best run of the Avengers.

I'm not going to mention, again, all of them because we're going to be here all day.

But some of these classics include Justice, Marvel's Astro City, Earth X, Superman Peace on Earth, and of course, Kingdom Come.

He is one of the few comic book creators that help usher in comics and introduce this medium into the mainstream media, working on movies like Unbreakable, Glass, and Spider-Man 1 and 2.

He's also done promotional work for video games like Assassin's Creed 3 and Watch Dogs.

It looks wonderful, and every person I've met who's played it thinks it's great.

As for media, besides the Justice League Unlimited cartoon, which I think is fabulous, my touch points for media, I think, would have to be Kurt Busiek's Astro City comic series.

which I think delves into the tropes and the genre so well.

It's a high recommend for anyone who likes superheroes.

Any chance we'll see more of their stories in the future?

Well, I know that they're still part of my life because I was illustrating them as of like a couple weeks ago.

I did a cover that's going to be around an omnibus type edition of Astro City that will be published in the next year that's going to be one of these big... fancy additions.

And I did probably my second time doing a tribute type piece to the aesthetic design of Steranko's history of comic book covers, you know, those big volumes that had every character you could throw on them.

So here I did something where it's all these various Astro City figures throughout the years.

And of course the first family are in there.
