Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers

The real obstacle sits somewhere else entirely.

The AJM, AHAM, is short for the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers.

The trade group representing the companies that actually manufacture washing machines is the real opponent of this story.

Their case comes from testing with NSF International, a company that does test products, on two specific products.

This is a case, particularly in California, where another, I would call out a strength of ours, is the relationships that we have with other trade organizations.

And so that was a case where AHAM, the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers, we can imagine is a very robust organization with a team of lobbyists that was certainly flagging this issue.

We've also worked with TRSA that works in the commercial laundry plants, the independent plants.

We've worked very recently with MLA, the multi-housing laundry association that's covering the apartment side of things.
