They are inadequate measures of our true value.

Is the 62-year-old adult who just gave an A... got an AA degree from a local junior college a success even though they still need to earn a bachelor's degree in psychology so they can help those who suffer from a myriad of grave emotional and mental disorders? Are they any less successful than those who have already earned the certificate, already built a thriving practice? No.

For them, the AA degree is a huge success.

How about the single parent who manages to work two jobs and still go back to school to train to become a massage therapist? Are they successful? How about you? Largely fueled by greed, growth, stock price, earnings per share, and quarterly profits, similar traps can be found in the corporate world.
