It, it's a real hard one in a lot of ways, and there's no disrespect intended by the question, but as being as, uh, uh, assistant coaches for a long time and being next to another senior coach who's either resigned or whatever, you know, with Vossy, did... could you see the talent of Josh? Uh, and what stood out to, to you with him at, in meetings and whatever he was doing with the, um, with the, uh, second teams when he was coaching them? What, what was it that stood out that you thought, "Maybe he's a chance of being a good coach"?

Yeah.

Um, I've only been with Josh for probably eight months now, like nine months.

Like, he joined obviously over the summer across from Collingwood, so I've a, I've had a small relationship with him.

Um, but certainly early when he came in with a mandate around our offense, um, he came in and his messaging, um, was really clear.

Um, it was easy for the players to, to attach to.

knowingThat you're in that frame, and also does it change the strategy when it comes to, you know, today's result and what you might do next week with managing players? Because that's obviously been a hot topic with the memo coming from the AFL.

Yes

... then you're like, "Okay, great.

Well, let's start with that.

Let's start to look at where we can transform these things." But I came back because of the relationships, the community that w- I found here.

And to learn.

You know, a lot of our...

I, I, I am from rural northern Minnesota, but I'm on the side of, like, the fisher, hunter, trapper side, and not in the agri-feature side of ruralness.

That the relationship is the work.

Has there been an instigator, or is it just, has anyone been the instigator of that, or is it, has it been led by the, the coaches? Um, can you give us a bit of an insight to, um, how they've obviously continued to develop as leaders?

Yeah, I, I think, um, the, the strength of your leadership shouldn't be put on, on one person's shoulders.

And I think, um, bringing the likes of, um, Will Haewrd, Ollie Florence, Ben Ainsworth in from other clubs has created a depth of leadership across the board, even though officially Weeters, Walshy, and Crippa, um, are the figureheads.

I think we've got a great depth of leadership.

I think Mark Pittner, Adam Cherri's leadership, um, is growing as those, those middle band players.

So I think we've got greater depth.

Um, and I guess what the outside world doesn't see, which is certainly not their fault, is being very process driven.

Is there any chance we're gonna see them this season?

What changes has he made to the program over the last week or so?

Not wholesale changes.

And I don't know whether that's going to frustrate people or not, but we were doing a lot of things right, but certainly weren't getting the results which our fans and selling internally we expected.

So I think driving the message of continuing to get better, continuing to drive better, The mantra around being a great teammate and what that looks like and maintaining really high standards is important because we are in the unique position where there's a long, long season to go and we've got to ensure that we continue on the momentum from last week.

and really do the jump of proud week in and week out.

So it's certainly a responsibility that's not lost on the players and not lost on the staff that's still within the four walls.

So that's what we'll be looking to do for the remainder of the year.
