as-Sirāt

And then there is something in us, in our hearts, in our iman, a flaw.

That is not part of that Sirat that allowed this to happen.

So when Allah wants us to follow the straight path, He wants us to inspect ourselves.

And there is a important visual from the Prophet that will help us.

So when you're gonna go to work, You ask yourself, now I have a straight path.

Will I follow it or I'll deviate in what I say and what I do? Will I lie? Will I cheat? Will I make false promises? Will I hurt? Will I insult? When you're going to go to your family and talk to them, talk to your parents, talk to your children, with your spouse, when you're going to sell and when you're going to buy, you always imagine yourself on this path and you need to be on this straight path and you don't deviate from it, that is gonna help you understand how you should act and how you should avoid those deviations.

And the speed and the steadfastness and the attachment that you will have to this straight path in the dunya will determine how you will pass on As-Sirat in Al-Akhirah.

So when you hear Rasulullah ﷺ describing that Sirat as people passing it like lightning, like wind, like a fast horse, and people tripping, and people falling, and you understand that this Sirat is sharper than the edge of a sword thinner than one piece of hair.

Fajaatuhu dama'atuhu.

He was in Siratal Mustaqim, that person.

And as he was falling off the Sirat to Jahannam, his tears in Dunya that he used to cry out of the fear of Allah came like a bird and picked him up, put him back on Sirat to, to pass.

Type.

In itself it's an ordeal.

And the ulama have said, The speed and the agility and the ease by which you'll be able to cross resembles how you were on the Sirat in this dunya.

If you're really on the straight path in this dunya and you're staying away from the wrong and you're doing the right and you're struggling and it's a struggle and we understand that it's a struggle, but your payment for that struggle is ease then.

Remember we said that choices always come with either a price Or a reward based on what that choice is.

Unless you repent.

This sin, that sin, this sin, that sin.

That's the ordeal of crossing the sirat.

And imagine that each one of them could be the one that you say, that could take me down.

Yesterday we touched on how the people will be resurrected, and we spoke about how their account will be taken.

Eventually, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will put the Sirat, the bridge, which is between Jannah or which goes into Jannah.

Those who are able to pass will pass, and those who are not will fall into the fire.

In many different verses of the Quran, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala speaks about the people of paradise and the people of the hellfire, and he says, La yastawi ashabun nari wa ashabul jannah.
