And interestingly, I saw him at some event at Artscape yesterday where they celebrated Buena Vista Social Club's 30th anniversary.

So he was there, he was in the audience.

I almost wanted to talk to him and I thought, leave the guy alone, let's just relax here.

Well, who doesn't love the Buena Vista Social Club? And this Sunday, the 20th of September at 3 o'clock, you're in for such a treat at Artscape with a celebration of Cuba's enduring musical legacy, brought to life by Los Canelas, South Africa's Cito, the Hassan Adas Big Band, and Coco Jean and the Tonics, all the way from Spain.

Expect a powerful fusion of Afro-Cuban classics, soul, jazz, and contemporary world music.

The evening will also honor the trailblazing hip-hop pioneers, Prophets of the City, with a prestigious BEA Humanitarian Award.

Please note the age restriction is 16.

Then looking ahead, there are a number of sensational shows coming up in October.

The Royal Countess Zangara opens again at Century City with a brand new show, called Melanina Return to Origin, directed by Craig Leo, while Lamptree Presents Into the Woods at Theatre on the Bay, directed by Sylvain Strike, and Cape Town City Ballet's Dracula returns by popular demand at Artscape.

Book in advance as these are all productions that are going to sell out way ahead of time.

So, and obviously dance as well.

So they have a, this is the first time they're actually at Artscape.

They were here a few years ago, but they've grown obviously since then.

So this is the first time we actually host them on this scale.

I think so, yes, if I'm not mistaken.

That's going to be very special.

And the United for Humanity Peace Concert at the Artscape on Saturday, September the 19th, which is always a big highlight as well.

So Mama Mia has opened up officially yesterday at Artscape.

that will be running right through till the end of September.

Absolutely.

It's going to be lots of fun in the building the weekend coming.

My voice had not yet broken.

And I performed a soprano solo on the Opera House stage at what's now the Artscape Theatre with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.

I loved that.

I sang in a band.

Finally, and staying at the Artscape, the 55th Youth Classical Concert is tomorrow evening, and it's hosted by the Artscape in collaboration with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.

It showcases South Africa's next generation of exceptional classical musicians.

Young singers and instrumentalists perform as soloists with the orchestra on a professional stage under the baton of Brandon Phillips.

So new season and new season in every sense of the word, Tobrin.

So not a busy week, but an exciting week.

We have Mamma Mia opening up this week.

And you can't at least, you must at least know one or two ABBA songs.

So it has to be, you know, it's definitely one of the favorites.

And then obviously Artscape's 55 songs.
