I mean, having spoken to quite a lot of people during this show, I mean, there was a similar scene at the UEA where most people went more to sort of think, right, this is going to be, I don't know, getting away from home, but also I want to create a band.

Or there was a lot of people saying, at that time there was the Higgson's Charlie Higgson and people like that and serious drinking and Arthur Smith were there and Terry Edwards who's gone on to a life in music I mean there was a whole just scene of people who were just spending more time in the bar but also trying to create things which were going to give them their their kind of platform as well as doing a degree on the side almost

yeah But it was an incredibly creative time across Britain.

You know, there were scenes in Sheffield, there were scenes in Nottingham, scenes in Liverpool, scenes in Manchester and scenes in Birmingham, you know, and we had access to all of those because... our group of friends had friends at all these places so we were quite adventurous and you know in in terms of let's drive up to Sheffield and say see the fall or let's drive down to London and see swans you know swans were a major turning point for me in terms of uh being a musical practitioner because they they were doing things with volume that was just uh amazing
