Google says the rest of the Gemini 4 family will follow.

Jack Clark, a co-founder of Anthropic, now thinks AI that can build its own successor is more likely to become possible in 2027 than in 2028.

He wrote this on Monday in his newsletter, Import AI.

His term is RSI, short for recursive self-improvement, where AI systems improve themselves and each new version improves faster.
