Art Evans

Very, very coincidentally, there was a movie around that time called A Soldier's Story.

Soldier's Story, this little up and coming actor named Denzel Washington, Art Evans and some other people that were in.

There was a key line from that movie that always stuck with me.

The line was, who gave you the authority to decide who was a real Negro? How could you decide who was real? Line stuck with me.

And he's just appeared frequently throughout this podcast.

Art Evans is in this

movie.

Yes, yes he is.

So I do think Art Evans is now officially the actor who's appeared in the most movies in this podcast.

So, you know, I kind of feel we have to do something to honor Art Evans at some point, considering how much great work he's done or he did during his career.

He's unfortunately no longer with us.

And, you know, just maybe do something to just maybe celebrate him in general by maybe just marathoning some things we haven't talked about that he's been in.

Thank you so much for being inspiring me as an actress.

But Cy Richardson, Dan Martin, Art Evans, rest in peace.

Chadwick Boseman, rest in peace.

Even Richard Roundtree, rest in peace.
