Um, but even though they had the opportunity to work with the NYPD and probably as the weeks and months went on, collect overtime, they all chose to take their military leave and come into the, the Armory and lead troops and work long hours, maybe longer hours, without overtime, with less chance to go home.

But all of the firefighters, all of the FDNY guys, uh, responded to the fire department.

And so there were guys who we had no idea what happened to them.
