Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps

And my story led me out to the University of Colorado.

And I joined the Army ROTC Corps of Cadets.

And when I put that uniform on, I knew that that's what I was meant to do.

Senior year of college, the fateful day of September 11th, 2001, came up on the calendar.

...ceremony down on the green turf of Memorial Stadium involving the three ROTC units at the University of Texas.

The Naval ROTC, the Air Force ROTC, and the Army ROTC.

We understand the university is the only school in Texas with all three branches of the service represented.

The three units are massed out on the playing field and now their colors are being brought forward to the position occupied by the Longhorn Band down at the south end of the field to our right, at which time there will be an invocation followed by our national anthem.

Yes, sir.

So I'm a freshman cadet in the Princeton Army ROTC program we have here on campus.

What that means is I do physical training three times a week.

I do some drills in the woods that are about 10 or 20 minutes from here.

And I said, that's the path.

And so because of that, I joined Army ROTC and then three years later graduated and was on active duty in the Army.

And that started my military journey.

I ended up spending about five years on active duty.

My second or third year doing this, there were 100 volunteers, and it took six hours to put the flags up.

Well, the next year, Army ROTC from ASU, they were working out, and I said, can you guys come over and help put the flags up? They joined us.

The following year, the Navy came, Navy ROTC.

and Marine ROTC and ASU Air Force ROTC.

I was blessed.

Coming out of high school, I qualified for an Army ROTC scholarship.

So being the last of six kids on the farm, I saw my five brothers and sisters all have to go into massive amounts of student debt, you know, to go to college.

And my old man's like, I'm not going to be able to help you, son.

I have a slight military background.

I went to the military academy in did two years of Army ROTC.

So I had some training with military tactics.

And this seemed to me to be more like a psychological operation to shake people out of self custody and maybe more into the, you know, bigger big Bitcoin institutions, right? Because these institutions want to continue living on from the old world, the TradFi world that's dying into the digital, right? So They are looking for everything to, you know, get our Bitcoin, which makes us sovereign kings.
