Armageddon

Today, we come to sign number seven, the world's bloodiest conflict.

Pastor, both of us have stood on a high Mount Carmel overlook facing this enormous plain, envisioning a great battle that one day will take place.

And you know, Dave, when I stop to think of it, as I look back on my history, my experiences, certainly being in Israel is a highlight.

To be able to stand on Mount Carmel, and to know that it is here that Elijah, of course he had the contest with the prophets of Baal, and then to be able to look out over the valley of Jezreel, which is called also the Valley of Armageddon, and know that we are standing where history is going to be wrapped up.

Knowing that he had to go, he flipped to the last page of the book and read it.

And that day when he went into the kitchen, he said, you know, the villain is doing fine in chapter six, but is he ever in for a shock when he gets to the last page? Today we're talking about the last page.

Today we're talking about the battle of Armageddon and the glorious return of Jesus Christ to this very, very sinful planet.

We're talking about finally the villain, getting his just desserts.

so basically the whole movie like There's a cult of good people who want to stop the Antichrist trying to convince the father of Damien that he has to kill his own son.

And the movie is about the sort of wrestling with like, would you kill your own child to stop Armageddon? And honestly, as a father, it's a tough one.

I think you'd really have to prove it to him.

You know, as a dad, you'd really, really have to prove it.

You'd have to give me beyond the shadow of a doubt that my child is going to grow up and usher in the biblical Armageddon.

And even then, I don't know.

Like, I really don't know.

It would be a struggle.

They know the truth now.

And they of course, there are some at the very end, some at the very end, some that put it at the very end with Armageddon.

And there are some reasons they believe that.

We're not here to discuss that one.

There are the reasons that they believe Gog and Magog is the book of its Armageddon.

And of course, there are those who believe it is at the end of the thousand year period, right? Including these two guys.

And I'm going to encourage you guys, if you guys, you know, want to read a little bit more and find out a little bit more, JP Tanner and Ralph Alexander actually wrote peer reviews articles.

The Lord is reigning.

they're involved in burying the dead for seven months and maybe converting weapons into energy, but that really would be more of a technological thing.

They're not involved in the Armageddon campaign or in the tribulation period.

The tribulation period commences with the confirming of a false covenant with the Antichrist, with Israel, and probably much of the world.

That's in Daniel 9, verses 24 through 27, and Ezekiel 28, 15 and 18.

So, you know, he was actually speaking to that generation in Matthew 24.

But the point is the Israeli defense forces... are not involved.

And then after that, they're getting beat up real bad because the Antichrist attempts to commit genocide of the Jewish people in the final endgame of the Armageddon campaign.

And of course, that's the whole part of the angelic conflict.

It's going to happen and then it's going to end.

World War III, the Battle of Armageddon, those are two separate wars.

And so I just want you to understand what's going on here.

So with that said, Iran uses all six forms of modern-day warfare with its own resources As much as they can muster, but they have resources coming in from other countries, and certainly with their ideology.

And he's saying thirdly and finally, you will not be disappointed.

Chapter 2 and verse 8, Then shall that wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth." This is talking about the battle of Armageddon.

When the wicked, the wicked one, the Antichrist comes, the Lord will consume him with the Spirit of His mouth.

What is that? The breath of His mouth.

The same Jesus that spoke them into existence is going to speak them into oblivion.

This speaks of the battle of Armageddon.

Remember that the second coming of Jesus Christ is in two stages.

First of all, He comes secretly for His church, and then secondly, He comes sovereignly with His church.
