So Exhumed is a toolkit and a set of Claude code skills for byte-matching decompilation, writing C and assembly source that the original compiler, assembler, and linker turn back into the same executable byte for byte.

It began with old DOS programs at Borland 16-bit tools, and now also covers embedded firmware for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, um, and for TI, uh, various other stuff.

There are toolchain profiles, so this can-- You can build your own profile for various different types of executables.

Uh, it is for preservation and for owners of old programs and devices, people who want a program's source back in a form that provably is the program as the starting point for study, fixes, ports, and changes to firmware they own.

interesting one where I'm sure it's like thought through.

It's kind of the interesting thing with silicon in general, right? Like a ton of thought went into this kind of like, what's it going to look like? What capabilities do you want to support for like Cortex-M profile stuff like a decade ago? But I'd say it's really only the last couple years as we've kind of seen like ARMv8 stuff like M33 has become more ubiquitous that like people are sort of like thinking how do I incorporate it or get what's get what's there and maybe like the larger percentage of the market that understands like the precursor like memory protection unit and how to sort of like leverage that in some ways which had its own own complexities in and of itself.

So, okay, so you were at Silicon Labs working on embedded security, and now you're making caltrackers.

So how do we go from A to B? And what was your connection to agtech in the first place? Because this isn't something people will go to naturally, I would say.
