Then in Arlong Park where he not only, uh, stands up and fights, but he also takes out one of, you know, the main bad guy's lead generals.

Which is pretty, a pretty big step for him.

I was like, man, this, this is some of those kind of... 'Cause when he was fighting at the Arlong thing, it was kind of like a, he's being a bit of a wussy, but he's kinda like, you know, he's trying, I guess.

This is him just being like, "Fuck it, we ball, let's do this.

Um, other example, um, as to the, the other side, though, of people who did compromise and, and therefore could not be conquerors, uh, Jimbe, for example, after, uh, Whitebeard passed away, uh, he realized that Fishman Island, like, still needed protection, and so he compromised and got Big Mom to help protect them.

Uh, N- N- N- Nami, for example, uh, she, uh- W- while, yes, p- being a child, but this is important that she, sh- she was a child, um, compromised and m- m- m- made a deal with, with Arlong in order to raise money to try to buy back her village.

Uh, and, and, and then a back to, to the other s- side of things o- of actual conquerors, like, like a Yamato, for example, even as a kid, she was like, "Yeah, I don't want to listen to my dad.

Like, he's a loser.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.

Except Arlong, so yeah, there we go.

Um, [laughs] so sure, why not? But let's get into the chapter itself.

Um, and, uh, we have our mystery arrival, which was, uh, kinda mentioned last time, like somebody's on the way-

[laughs] They head off towards Sabaody Archipelago, where Hachan is being held at the base of the Flying Fish Riders, led by Duval.

Upon entering the base, they discover that Hachan is actually the same Hachan that was formerly part of Arlong's crew.

I don't know why they were confused about that.

Like, Hachan is not a fucking uncommon name.

I'll be fighting new crew mates, and there'll be times when they get beat or captured, so when that happens, I won't hold back and I'll give them the Gum Gum Axe no matter who it is." And it's just like-

Which he didn't bust out till Arlong.

Yeah.

Rather than timetables, it's just like, "This is what Luffy was doing."

Yeah.

So by this point in her career, uh, Luffy had just defeated Arlong and gotten his, uh, 30,000... uh, 30 million bounty.

Yeah.

His journey would have been lonely, and he might never have reached his full potential.

Nami would have remained trapped under Arlong and would have continued being a thief to buy back her village.

Her dream of drawing a map of the world's oceans would likewise have gone unfulfilled, and her spirit would soon have been broken by Arlong's oppression.

Usopp would likely have remained in the...

in Syrup Village, continuing his life as a liar and prankster.

And then all three of them go deal with Buggy.

And then Arlong is actually earlier in Sanji's arc.

Arlong shows up himself in Sanji's arc.

That's why Nami is still there.

Weird.

Rather than Nami going to Arlong back home.

Got it.
