I want this book to create communities.

I want women to get together and talk about these lessons because there may be things that Beverly Hall experienced, that Monifa McKnight experienced, that Arlene Ackerman experienced, that Ver- Verlita White experienced, but it may, there may be different nuances in every situation that I want people to come together in community and unpack and say, you know, "What, what do I think? Why do I think this happened? W- uh, this is how they handled it, but is there something else that I could do that would take it a step further?" And most importantly for the, for the people who are supporting these women in these leadership roles, what can I do in my position to help eliminate these types of, uh, barriers that exist to, to make the job be focused on the thing that it's supposed to be in focu- focused on, and we started with that in education.

Improving the education for our young people, which then in turn improves communities.
