These are all normative game of giving and asking for reasons, as Robert Brandom would say in, in his own philosophical work.

And that, and thus my, my sort of frustration with new materialism would be to say, um, like I quote, uh, the engagement of the Arjun Appadurai in the book, is that, uh, new materialism somehow displaces this normativity and the focus on norms and the ways of understanding us as humans filled with questions relating to normative give and take, um, and treats almost all engagement as an inevitable reality of m- m- of materialism, right? And, and I think we might have to then slowly move beyond that to say, um, pay much more attention to meaning and meaning-making that is part of our world.

Yeah, that is kind of, you know, uh, an apt note to sort of, you know, possibly bring this to a close.
