Ariel

But no, it felt a bit...

I was like, really? We still got to do this? But one thing I will say was when we got to Ariel's Grotto, I really loved the fact that they hid...

treasure chest

in with her trinkets like but they they hid them really well the amount of things i was going up to thinking oh it's another treasure it's not it's her trinket so yeah they did a really good job and that's like a big it's like a big spiral thing it goes all the way up so you can go all out and then i'm constantly looking all around just trying

Cool.

You've locked it, and it's cool.

Was it Ursula's Grotto or was it Ariel's? Oh, not Ursula's.

Sorry, Ariel's Grotto.

Or the retarded.

So I had a bunch of red that was Ariel's hair, right? And I was just trying to get that bit sorted, and I just kept taking all the red bits and just jamming them in.

This is

it.

It happened during a Disney on Ice performance.

During the iconic song, Part of Your World, Prince Eric spins Ariel around as the crowd, filled with children, goes wild.

Suddenly, both ice dancers fall hard, appearing to hit their heads on the ice.

Believe it or not, the daring stunt is called the Headbanger.

One night, I forgot to say goodnight, and the next day the ride kept breaking down.

The Ariel animatronic in the Kiss the Girl scene broke, and Scuttle was literally leaking fluid from his neck in the pre-show line.

Ever since then, I would always say hello and goodnight to Scuttle.

It didn't happen after I started saying goodnight properly.

Triton also has not aged terribly well.

Ariel's 16 in that movie.

He's marrying her off to some prince.

It's a little weird.

It goes weird places when you let those Disney movies stand on the shelf as long as they do.

You know how much shame...

Ariel's 16 in the movie.

Kyle, you know how much shame we

That's why my hair was red.

Yeah, you were Ariel.

So the Ariel costume was kind of on brand.

I think there's a couple.

So I was thinking my tethered costume from Us was really good.

The next year, we did a Prohibition costume.

That was our lazy costume.

And then our other one was Ariel and Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid.

Halle Bailey just released a deluxe edition of her album.

Halle played Ariel in the live-action Little Mermaid.

Who played Ursula?

I still know a lot of the songs and I still know a lot of the movie.

And it's just one of those things that I was mesmerized by Ariel.

I loved mermaids.

I'm a big water person.

I wanted her to be with Prince Eric.

I wanted that love to be able to exist.

I didn't know that a lot of the storyline was not sending great messages to me as a kid of Ariel needing to literally give up her voice in order to be with somebody that she did not know.

And how love at first sight isn't this thing that you should strive for.
