have introduced some new rules for AI in terms of, you know, what they are and will and will not permit when it comes to featuring on the Aria charts and the, you know, relative involvement of AI in your song, which... uh is definitely a necessary change it comes off the back actually of you know we we spoke uh last year about the or was it this year cam about the changes that i have also made to the chart measurements uh in terms of uh having new music on there and kind of like that legacy stuff that gets played over and over and over and over and over and over and over again that continues to chart so shout out to vance joy's riptide that was you know do you know what it was clogging up the aria charts i don't that sounds offensive it's a great song but it had been there for so long so they kind of like tweak their charts this is yet another tweak to the charts uh but this time in response to the boom of ai input in music

Anyway, one final piece before we get to the suitcase, Sam, is I wanted to shout out the ARIA charts for being mad dogs.

They often are mad dogs, but they are especially mad dogs right now.

They announced last week that there's going to be changes made to the way that the songs get counted in the ARIA charts.

For anyone whose international ARIA charts are our billboard charts, they're the charts.

And for our Spanish listeners.

Which, by the way, huge efforts because now is on the ARIA charts.

And that was something she manifested, wasn't it? At number three.

It's had tens of millions of streams, and it's rocketed up the ARIA Charts, and it's also sparked a big conversation after it was revealed the drums and vocals were AI-generated.

Now, ARIA's made a ruling, so songs largely or wholly created by AI will be banned from the Australian charts.
