In the original exchange, Trump said buying a limited amount of Argentine beef would lower U.S. prices while assisting the government of Argentine President Javier Malay.

The footage has regained attention because Trump announced a separate beef import initiative Friday that could bring substantially more foreign meat into the United States.

Under a new proposal, the administration would allow as much as 300,000 metric tons of lean beef trimmings to enter the country during a 90-day period without triggering the higher tariff normally applied to imports exceeding established quotas.

It's, it's not something that we talk about because it has to do with Argentina.

But he has infuriated beef growers in the United States by now saying he's going to import Argentine, Argentine beef, much of which is infected with chemicals that are outlawed in the United States.

But, but watch this nasty response to a simple question: What do you have to say to US farmers who feel that the deal is benefiting Argentina more than them? Watch this, Larry.

For Trump's personality and, and thinking, this is not about Iran, but Trump's personality-

Uh, he doesn't believe in the free market.

He just believes in his own, uh, gut instinct to control things from one, uh, minute to the next.

Look at the US Department of Agriculture and the Chinese Department of Agriculture rejecting so much Argentine beef.

So when you go to the store, you're gonna know, is this beef from Nebraska or is it from Argentina? Will you even know?

Um, but, uh, we've got President Trump making Argentina great again, undercutting American cattle farmers in a huge freaking way.

And right off the top is, uh, how even China rejected Argentinian beef previously this year.

It was only a couple months ago because it was basically toxic.

Like what the heck, man?

Uh, yeah, I mean, I haven't come, kept up to date a whole lot with this story.

I have seen that, um, allowing in all of the Argentinian beef is going to really hurt American farmers.

And so rather than going the Thomas Massie route of passing the USA PRIIM Act in order to allow American ranchers to provide beef to American consumers at reasonable prices, Donald Trump is trying to bring down the cost of beef with this lower grade Argentinian beef.

And, uh, I, I think he's even said that this is going to help the Argentinian economy-

Retweeted and went viral over the weekend because it corresponds with a major deal Trump made.

This had to do with Argentinian beef and Trump buying Argentinian beef to make up for the shortfall of beefs because he wants to keep the prices low.

Obviously, he's not actually concerned in keeping the prices low.

There's like a billion, billion different things he would do if that was the case, but no, he – want you to believe that out of, well, I shouldn't even say that.

There's no good solution to the fact that cattle herds were decimated under Biden, literally none.

You can't magically make cows appear out of thin air, and high prices mean cattle farmers are incentivized to sell instead of producing more beef.

If you don't import Argentinian beef, people will complain about a formability and extremely high beef prices.

If you do import Argentinian beef, people will complain about undercutting American cattle farmers.
