Our original plan was to tell the stories associated with these adventures, but as our audience grew, we branched out into talking about anything and everything associated with golf.

Joining me for many of these golfing adventures, including our podcasting adventure, is my long-time pal, golfing foe and Ardglass's favourite, I do stress these are his words, not mine, Ardglass's favourite caddy, Des.

And I did something on one of the other podcasts, The Pick Three Show, for those who want another podcast to listen to.

We talked about our ambitions, and one of my ambitions is, yes, to have a home run.

I haven't played Portumna as a member.

I have barely played Ardglass as a quote member, but I, I can promise as you know, as God is my witness and I am never going to be a member at a, at a fucking country club.

I'm just not going to like LACC and all these, but like the, the, the fucking, the rules and the pain to be told.

Like what you're going to wear and how you're going to do it.

And the golf experience at Kenny Sligo is world-class.

That is why Ardglass and Dee, I changed my mind because I love Ardglass.

Then Enes Grones is class.

Doonbeg is grand.

okay so you're getting rid of a so you've got rid of a and b i've got rid of b and c

I think D has to stay.

Ardglass, Critch, Donegal, Narnia Portnew, Steve Russell's a great track.

Unbelievable.

We'll keep you in suspense.

But even if you don't care about that, you will surely want to know why we thought Ardglass was so great and

so underrated.

I couldn't believe it when I saw that it wasn't in Ireland's top 25, according to top100golfcourses.com.

But it's relative close proximity.

It's only a short drive away from Royal County Down.

and the fact that so many American tourists are now looking for great courses to play in Ireland, means that loads of people come and play Ardglass, reflected in the flagpoles, of which there are many flagpoles with many different countries' flags, outside the clubhouse when you arrive there.

That's right, but I'm going to say here and now, before we even get into the episode, it is deserving of acclaim in its own right.

I mean – Jay Lange wins the Western, makes the USAM.

Then he goes to Ireland for a week before the Walker Cup and plays a ton of recreational golf and shoots 60 at Ardglass, I think it was.

Yeah, I

saw that.

Royal County Down is so fun.

Ardglass is so great.

And I'm just trying to figure out, I guess, how do I get back to those places with the amount of time that I have to do it and with the amount of places that I love to go back to.

Of course, you know, I think I'd love to go play in Australia and see the new courses in New Zealand, but the thing that eats at me, the, the little golfer devil on my shoulder says, "Well, if you go there, how are you gonna get back to St. Andrews? How are you gonna get to Dornoch?"

For over 35 years now, we have been chasing golf adventures alongside our pals in the Renegade Players Tour, and our experiences have certainly enhanced our pleasure when watching professional tournaments.

Joining me for most of these adventures, and also our podcasting journey, is my longtime pal, golfing foe, and now Ardglass' funniest caddie, that's his own assessment-

It had apparently been a bit blowy in the morning, but y- you know, the Americans had smoked us.

Uh, uh, I mean, the one thing that I've sort of learnt and just been reminded this last 10 days is the Americans do not like wind.

And I mean, Ardglass has been so windy over the last 10 days, and I'm talking 30 mile an hour, 40 mile an hour, 50 mile an hour gusts.

Crazy.

I'm pretty sure he showed up early and played a bunch of courses, didn't he?

Yeah, he shot a 60 at Ardglass.

Yes, Ardglass.

He played a bunch of Irish courses.

He's kind of a golf nut, it sounds like.
