And then when it came to Harry Potter 2, I didn't do anything to do with the spiders in the second one.

So Nick would go, right, spider people, you're doing all that for nine months.

So Hagrid comes in, though, and he's like been in the forest all day.

Aragog's worse.

I've been reading to him.

Get up to dinner till just now.

I mean, he's, you know, his...

I mean,

apparently he was sneaking out of the Gryffindor common room and making his way all the way down to the Slytherin dungeons to raise Aragog in the castle several nights a week as a third-year student who was seven feet tall and no one noticed except Tom Riddle, but not that sneaky.

Maybe he didn't get noticed, you know?

It's like Stevie Vaughan said, the undroppable team.

And it is Carrick trying to play the team at 92 with the team he's got with Aragog.

And so is TC.

They're trying to play the team they've got and trying to make sure they win.

Okay, this scene kind of made me angry a little bit.

In the last book, when Hagrid has Aragog's funeral, he says he went into the forest to get his body, which is weird, and the spiders were not happy about it because they wanted to eat him, which is weird.

And he had to fight them off, and he was like, oh, it turns out the only reason they didn't eat me is because Aragog wouldn't let them.

Um, and then, yeah.

And so then that all happens.

And then how he and Ron went into the forest to talk to spiders.

How Aragog had told them that some bitch had died in a bathroom.

So they'd guessed that it was Moaning Myrtle.

And so then they went to her bathroom to go and find the Chamber of Secrets.

I mean, if Ginny's not gonna get punished for actually opening the Chamber of Secrets and setting a basilisk on some students and killing roosters and everything, I think you guys who rescued her, you're gonna be fine.

So Dumbledore, he says, I seem to remember telling you both that I would have to expel you if you broke any more school rules.

And you know what? Maybe when Harry was telling the story, he should have left out the whole Aragog business.

That's kind of his whole thing.

And in this particular movie, we see that he has a funeral for Aragog, this enormous, terrifying spider.

That's

a great scene.

They all tried to kill them.

right? They all tried to kill Harry and Ron.

Um, but yeah, he's just so brokenhearted about, about Aragog, but all these creatures, right.

Um, it reminds me of Proverbs 12, verse 10, whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.

Great.

And you also voiced the giant spider, Aragog, in Harry Potter, in the Harry Potter film, The Chamber of Secrets in 2002.

How did that come about?

Audition.

Um, the, the, the people who ran the film, um, rang agents and suggested, [coughs] and said, "Would you please suggest somebody to be the voice of a spider?" Quite a strange request.

Um, however, um, my agent suggested me, but I do quite a lot of voice work, do a lot of radio work.

And anyway, um, I, I read the part of the, the spider, uh, along with, it must've been about 15 other people, quite eminent people.

And it just happened, because nobody knows what a spider sounds like.
