Arâches-la-Frasse

It is a proper insider secret.

If you are standing at the top of the Arâches sector and you see that the central lifts are backed up, do not slide down into the main bowl.

Instead, you want to take the Crorâne, which is a lovely sweeping piste, all the way down into the bottom of the valley.

This leads you directly to the bottom of the TSD Grande Combe chairlift.

You can literally ski straight onto the chair with zero waiting time.

It is incredibly fast.

And when you get to the top of the Grande Combe lift, it deposits you perfectly back into the high-altitude Arâches and Fornet sectors.

So instead of wasting half an hour standing in a sweaty queue in the central bowl, you've done a massive beautiful descent down the Crorâne, hopped straight onto an empty chairlift, and you are back at the top of the mountain in minutes.
