Aquarium of the Pacific

For local fishing expeditions, this year's warm waters are delivering some unforgettable surprises.

And back out here live, the Aquarium of the Pacific says they've already been taking in some of those animals that have been in distress.

And they say they've seen a lot of other rare sightings like pufferfish, sea turtles and stingrays.

But in general, I saw a lot of positive education happening, which is a wonderful side effect of the zoo giving these animals a new lease on life, which is already an incredible story, even if it had a sad beginning.

And speaking of facilities stepping in and stepping up for trafficked animals, the Aquarium of the Pacific has taken in almost 500 animals that were recently seized from wildlife traffickers.

Clownfish, bamboo sharks, clams, shrimp, snails, and more were all rescued by the aquarium, which then started the incredibly challenging work of assessing each of the animals for health and welfare.

And when you're dealing with aquatic animals, it's even more challenging than when you're dealing with terrestrial animals.

yeah field trips and show and tells i love

that i love that my favorite field trip also kind of has to do with nature um it was the aquarium of the pacific still one of my favorite places we went there for my last birthday i was like when we just went recently no literally that was yeah my favorite field trip last year But yeah, we went when I was a kid and I just think it was so much fun.

I don't know what it is.

I am someone, I think I've probably mentioned it in one or multiple episodes, very scared of the ocean.

not the cages not

the cages once they're you know a safe distance away behind glass i'm like wait that's actually so incredible and i find it fascinating and just beautiful so i remember just every like corner i turned i was like what is that It was so cool.

Until one of my friends I was there with, if you've been to the Aquarium of the Pacific, you know, there's like the lorikeet exhibit where you go in with all the birds.

I think it's lorikeets, parakeets.

I frequently get the really old Aquarium of the Pacific jingle stuck in my head.

Honestly, Aquarium of the Pacific is the only cool thing in Long Beach.

And then
