The text says they stepped up to preemptively acquire the rights for Apple Studios to develop as a TV series.

Why not just outbid everyone normally?

Great question.

I guess it's one of those films that's been a bit of a void in my viewing.

I've obviously known about this film for a long time, and in the last 12 months or so, heard a lot of comparisons between this and the big hit F1 film from Apple Studios that starred Brad Pitt that did quite well considering.

And I think I'm sort of glad now that I've got to watch this film, Days of Thunder, too, because you can sort of see maybe some inspirations throughout the film.

I honestly have no idea when I purchased this DVD.
