Apostolate

And, um, it's really sad to say, but, um, there was a statistic that I had heard recently.

It was, um, it was for the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate, a nonprofit organization, um, affiliated with Georgetown University.

It said that only 2%, 2% of Catholics go regularly, regularly to confession, and three quarters of Catholics never go or go less than once a year.

So that's, um, that's staggering.

And then also too, I'll sit down with, because this year is a little bit different.

I used to run the Apostolate, but I'm giving it over to one of the brothers.

And so I'll sit down with him also just to see what his dream is, what his plans are for it.

And so, so that, and then yeah, throughout the week, just seeing how things go.

Or, oh, look, you know, there's this big thing that's coming up, you know, our family vacation, and I can't do that, you know.

But for us, I try to, especially with the ministry, with the Apostolate, like, you know, lay out, we're going to do four women's conferences a year.

I also do the marriage conference, and I work with some of the other conferences, but they're less frequent.

Typically in a year for the John Paul II Healing Center, I'm doing six events and they're planned well in advance, usually a couple of years out.

Christ's love is urging us.

A whole lifetime would be little if it were spent expanding the frontiers of your charity." The first Christians knew very well that the apostolate knows no boundaries of persons, places or situations.

Apostolates often began in their own families.

They persuaded their servants or their children, if they had any, to become Christians because of their mutual love.

And once they became Christians, they called each other brothers without distinction.
