Apocryphon

This is where I find the Gnostic text to be extremely interesting.

In the Apocryphon of John it describes passions through the language of entities and rulers.

Pleasure, desire, grief, and fear are all associated with specific powers, and from them arise jealousy, anxiety, anger, greed, anguish, and shame.

Are these internal conditions? Yes.

Are they external powers? Also yes.

The Gnostic worldview repeatedly blurs the boundary between psychology and entity.

The Apocryphon also describes the counterfeit spirit as something that works through the individual, strengthening these conditions through burdens of the soul and ultimately binding it more deeply to the rulers.

In the hypostasis of the Archons, the rulers are repeatedly associated with images, likenesses, and reflections.

And there are others that were set aside, and one of them is the, the, the one that, that tells about the Gnostics.

In the Gospel to the Hebrews, Jesus speaks not only of his father, but of his mother, the Holy Spirit, and John's vision in the Apocryphon that says, "John, John, I am the one who is with you always.

I am the Father.

I am the Mother.
