Morgan, how's it going? It's been a couple of weeks since we've spoken.

I think sometimes typically when people message Dial and Aperture, it'll be me that they're talking to.

But sometimes I've seen you also have some of the conversations.

But yeah, I've also been trying to reduce my Instagram time because it just ends up taking over your day, especially if you have a bit of downtime.

And like, especially with like traveling and you can, you know, do so much with it.

I'm really excited to try out the Aperture on the Pro because you can also do auto mode.

You know, if obviously you don't know what you're doing, the phone will automatically adjust everything.

But I feel like even...

Yep, yep, you're right.

Any word on Attenborough? Is he still ticking, David, or are you?

I don't know, but I think about that every time I think of it.

When I sign my name, when I'm uploading an episode of something and I type David, I'm like, hmm, I wonder if that guy's still alive.

It's not graphic in nature, but it is...

I said, okay, this is either going to be amazing, entertaining, hilarious, brilliant.

Okay, that brilliant is a little too strong of a word.

It's either going to be pervy, sexist, cancel culture-ish.

Technically, a look back on a few years back when we visited with this particular individual and company trailblazing and paving the way forward in hospitality.

That is Charles Oswald, president and CEO of Aperture Hotels.

Charles, thank you so much for being back here on The Sweet Spot.

It's good to be back.

Yeah, you've been busy and it's been a long time.

I had to look back and see the last time we visited here on the sweet spot.

We did our original hospitality trailblazers really in the infancy of Aperture Hotels back in December 2023.

A lot's changed on that since then, right? So catch us up a little bit.

This is true.

I could see the Aperture and the Stratos really being built in the same locations.

I think both of them have appeal in the windows and everything that make it appropriate for...

The same locations.

It kind of reminds me of the...

If people remember the Aperture software application Apple did, it was like a pro photos tool.

They did it for a few years.

There was a story at some point that the Aperture team had been disbanded.

And people were running around like, well, what about...

What about Aperture? What about new versions of it? Like my whole professional workflow is in this app.

It turns out it had been a restructuring, but there were new versions of Aperture that followed.

Now, eventually Apple did kill it off when they sort of merged iPhoto and Aperture into Photos.

So set it to manual, set the focus to effective.

Aperture, that's basically, again, how much light it's allowing in when it's taking that picture.

You want to set that to the lowest F number.

It's got, you know, F, 1.8, 2.8, things like that.
