Apache Arrow

But that's going to be basically like a, you know, it's going to be a point that we talk about like week over week as well, just because it's part of the Open Lakehouse ecosystem.

There's also releases from Apache Hudi, Apache Arrow, MLflow, and Omnigent that we're going to cover this week as well.

So without further ado, I'm going to kick things off and we're going to go into the Unity Catalog 0.7 release.

So over to Apache Arrow 26.0.0. Lisa, do you want to pick this one up?

Yeah, I also, just before we fully move on from streaming, we're not going to go into this in too much detail, but we might have missed in a previous show, Kafka actually had a 4.2.2 release, and so...

... like to think of it that way, but, like, from open source...

And, and, uh, one of the projects that we worked on was, was getting, uh, into a little bit of crisis, and that's, uh, Apache Arrow-

And so maybe talk...

Let's, let's give a little bit of background on, like, what Apache Arrow is and maybe why, um, Grok, in particular, was interested in it before we, we delve too much into this story.

Uh, we'll be talking about Hudi, uh, very briefly as well.

Uh, and then also, uh, Apache Arrow 20, uh, 6.0, Delta Lake 4.4, and Unity Catalog, uh, 0.7.

So really interesting and exciting things.

It's essentially just correctness fixes.

Um, and so with that, um, do we wanna switch gears and essentially just talk about our favorite friend, Apache Arrow?
