He's the author of four books about the size of government, property, and constitutional law, and migration, most recently, Free to Move, Foot Voting, Migration, and Political Freedom.

In his legal career, he led a challenge of President Trump's sweeping tariffs, and has testified before Congress, and his writings have been cited by the US Supreme Court.

A recent article in the libertarian magazine Reason calls this action by the Trump administration shameful.

And joining us is the author.

Ilya Somin is a professor at George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School and a chair of constitutional studies at the Cato Institute.

He is the author of four books about the size of government, property and constitutional law, and migration.

She's also an attorney, a full-time clinical professor at a Big Ten university, and an all-around crazy woman, but crazy about God, her husband and her kids, that is.

She graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and George Mason Law School and Purdue University's Krannert School of Management.
