Antonidas

It's

Antonidas.

But

as you can see...

Think of the violet towers of Dalaran, the archmages in their purple and gold, the portals and the floating stones, and the libraries full of spells.

Think of Antonidas, and Khadgar, and Jaina Proudmoore, and then go back far enough, nearly three thousand years before the orcs came through the dark portal, and you reach a moment when not a single human in the world knew how to cast a spell.

The humans of that age lived in the north of the eastern kingdoms, in scattered and quarrelsome tribes.

The strongest of them were the Arathi, and under their king, Thoradin, the tribes were united into a single nation, which took the name Arathor.

Most of them lasted a single day, the rest lasted less than a week.

The Kirin Tor chose a young man named Khadgar.

The Archmage Antonidas, already one of the dominant voices on the Council of Six, was among those who argued for him, and several of Khadgar's instructors saw a chance to learn things they could not learn any other way, and asked the boy to find out all sorts of details about the tower and its master while he was there.

Antonidas gave him a piece of a magical disc to carry and asked him to see whether Karajan's library had any books on the controlling of fire.
