Like, can you, can you recollect your first encounter with Colin Haley, like why you were climbing together in Patagonia?

Um, so this would've been summer 2016, and that summer I was doing a lot of climbing with a buddy of mine in Boulder, uh, Jed Brown, who is a total legend, but we don't need to go down that.

All you need to know is like Jed won a PLA door when he was like 23.

Um, it's kinda nuts.

From Alaska, grew up in like a cabin in the Alaskan woods, D1 Nordic ski racer at Dartmouth, uh, teaches computer science at CU now.

When you say that he's critical of the status quo and maybe tries to tinker with, like, the process for things, is he more of, like, a means than an ends guy? Or does he still care pretty deeply about the ends to, like, all this stuff?

Uh, what, what about the peak is so, like interesting to you, I guess the significance to you in your, kind of your arc as an athlete and who you are as an athlete?

athlete?Yeah, for me, it's pretty simple.

It's the closest peak to downtown Boulder that is also, like, about a 2,500-foot climb.

You know, uh, Kelsey mentioned Sanitas.

That's su- also a super popular peak in town, but it's about half as much vert.

Um, and Green is the first one in kind of the skyline as you go south.

So Green, Bear Peak, and then South Boulder Peak.
