Anton Cermak

Um, book is interwoven with real, real personalities.

Capone, uh, Anton Cermak, the mayor of Chicago, uh, General Dawes, former, um, Vice President of the United States who runs a bank in Chicago, Eliot Ness, various other people, uh, with whom this detective, um, Nathan Heller interacts.

Um, and I, uh, I got this served up to me by Amazon because I started reading hard-boiled.

Uh, there's a whole series of books called Hard Crime, and just to clear my head and have some, a palate cleanser, I started reading these very hard-boiled, the novels in the hard-boiled tradition, uh, detective novels, you know, which are sort of set in sleazy precincts with, you know, o- one of them I read is about sort of like a detective working in porn and various other things.
