Antiparos

Uh, very early on, because I happened to know Mykonos quite well, I realized there was much more beyond Mykonos.

So while everybody was very aggressively building inventory in Mykonos, we built inventory in Paros and Antiparos, which are islands which are very close to Mykonos.

Mm-hmm.

But at that time, they were considered very authentic.

But that was, that was, that was interesting to me, but I would rather go to...

Like, Greece was cool 'cause we went to Paros and Antiparos, which I don't know if you've been there.

Mm.

That's where Tom Hank li- lives, in Antiparos.

So there's Paros and then there's Antiparos.

Yes.

And there's, we went to Crete.

Well, let me think.

One of the places I've been to this year, which has really stayed in my heart is the Rooster in Antiparos.

That place is beautiful and stunning.

And I love a hotel that sort of disappears into the landscape.

Where

in Greece? Paros in Athens and Antiparos.

Antiparos is where she's getting married.

Okay.

Yeah.

Some of the most memorable moments from my time on the Greek islands have happened during both days.

Whether it was visiting beaches in Milos, including Gerakas, and you probably already know it's my absolute favorite secluded beach in entire Greece, exploring secret coves, or swimming in the Blue Lagoon around Paros and Antiparos.

If there is one activity on the islands that I truly recommend, it would be this one.

I shared with you in one of my previous podcast episodes how a few summers ago Pierre and I traveled to Milas.

I'm really scared of open water.

No more, seriously.

And then we ended up going, our last stop of the trip, we boated across to Antiparos, which is just off of Paros.

And we hired this four-wheeler and we just hooned around the island and stayed at this really remote little spot.

And it was so stunning.

There seems to be something about travel where it's not even so much about going outward as upward to like the more exclusive hotel, the harder to get to beach that you have to take a little ferry to.
