Anthony Wilson-Smith, President and CEO of Historic Canada, is on the line for an inside look at this latest Heritage Minute.

Good morning, Ken.

Yeah, we shot, you know, we shot everything in place, you know, as it took place, you can so we had we were given the full run for two days of the international lounge which by the way was already famous for its art deco lounge i think it's in consideration to be a unesco heritage site at some point and uh then we asked people from the community if they would show up for no money frankly at 7 30 on a saturday morning to serve as extras so we could have this great crowd scene that anyone who's seen the minute so far will you know to recreate all the people landing.

And I think by 745, we had, I think it was 235 people all cheerfully standing around chatting, waiting to do their turn.

We're talking with Anthony Wilson-Smith of Historic Canada and the latest terrific heritage minute to mark the 25 years since 9-11 and the way the people of Gander and the surrounding communities has stepped up.

You know, there's a very cool behind-the-scenes look at the making of this minute, and it includes a comment that you make, Anthony, about one of the more difficult aspects of these endeavors.

It was Historica Canada and other partners who created that marvelous Heritage Minute.

We're going to talk to Toronto Star columnist Susan Delacorte about Pierre Polyev and his political future.

She wrote a great column called The Absent Pierre Polyev because other than today popping up about gas taxes – uh there he hasn't been seen much um and that is good bad i don't know but it's being noticed we are going to hear an interview richard did with mark santos about that live reef cam in placentia bay we're going to talk to our friend kevin andrews about how tech companies seemingly at least two of them are kowtowing to the u.s president and rushing to rename lake ontario and how that works from a technical basis and some of the politics of all of that and we're going to talk to benny malone and greg malone i should say and a colleague of his about the documentary based on greg's book don't tell the newfoundlanders all of that coming up but before i go to mayor farwell You will remember we had Anthony Wilson Smith on earlier this week about the historic minute that was being done to recognize what happened in Gander on September 11th, 2001.

Well, it's out now.

If you're gonna try and tell us who we can sign trade agreements with and what those trade agreements look like, let's not waste our time.

If you wanna actually have a discussion about the specific tariff issues on both sides on the table, we're there for that." 'Cause, you know, in the end, our guy is pretty transactional, and on the other side, he may- he is not transactional, but there, you know, but there are a lot of Republicans who are quietly saying, "I'm gonna get blown out of here if you don't fix this, and, you know, and I need this fixed." And if enough of them get together and go through and make that clear, then maybe you see a breakthrough.
