You know, Jordan, isn't it funny

that when I turned 18, The world gave me a credit card application and a student loan application.

Yeah, not particularly helpful, even though you think they are.

But they didn't teach me what is compound interest and how to invest to build well.

So the very first thing is they gave me and they taught me debt.

But they didn't teach me financial freedom.

So because the world gave me that, I did that.

How does it end up working?

So tell us what you're up to because I think it's really cool.

Yeah, man, you know, right now, when I left and transitioned from my previous situation, it was about six years ago, 70 years ago now, I, let me put it like this in a respectful way.

I didn't want to be just a content creator.

I truly wanted to be a thought leader, Someone who not only practices what he preaches, but he has the education and credentials behind him.

And so I went back to school, finished my bachelor's in finance and accounting, got my MBA in church management and finance.

And while I was there, I had the opportunity to go to an HBCU school.

And while I was there, man...

So what is your escape plan and how does it help people create lasting financial change?

And why did you feel like it was a great time to write this book right now?

So let's go back to, I would say 2004.

I'm in Oceanside, California, right outside of San Diego.

And every single Friday after work, we will all go by the car wash where, you know, you just put 25 cents and you put 25 cents, you'll get water for like two minutes, right? So we will all go in there.

We'll put like $3 in there.

We'll have five cars all lined up that we gotta wash within three minutes.

So we will rush through it, get our car soap, and then we'll wash it.

It was beautiful.
