But The ones that were expected, Nick Broker, Shane Buchel, we got Travis Clayton back on the International Pathways program, Takori Couch, Frank Gore Jr., Stephen Gosnell, Keonta Jenkins was one that I was maybe a little nervous about, Andre Jones Jr., a really nice one.

I'll talk about Anthony Kendall in a little bit.

Chase Lent was expected.

Jamori Macklin was expected.

He showed some really interesting snaps there that I think can play.

The way they've put this together is really exciting.

Um, I'm obviously partial to Anthony Kendall, uh, went to my alma mater.

The fact that he, uh, and Tim Graham's alma mater, oddly, the both of us went to Baldwin Wallace and, uh, uh, one, to have a Division III guy even get a chance at an NFL roster, but the first guy in modern history of our college to play on any NFL roster.

But he flashed.

But to me, like I was talking about, if I really had to be real about it, Kendall really stuck out to me more.

Kendall? Yeah.

I think Anthony Kendall or whatever his name was.

He stuck out to me more.

And, you know, obviously he played against threes and twos, whatever.

That's the big thing.

That's not the only example.

I think the versatility of Alford gives them comfort that on the 53 they can carry three outside corners and be okay because Alford has the ability to go out there if necessary.

And then, since then, you've added Anthony Kendall and Kanai Walker to the practice squad as depth pieces if, you know, there's a rash of injuries at outside corners.

One other

thing, too, is I like the fact that I like the safeties better this year, too, in CJ and now Cole Bishop, who's a veteran and their ability to mitigate any defeat, you know, to mitigate the corners.

And I believe Dee Alford's versatility, being able to play inside and outside, they feel covers two bases for them.

And that's why they only have three outside corners on the roster.

Now, you've since fortified yourself at that position on the practice squad with Anthony Kendall, who's a third-year player.

and I thought availed himself quite well.

Inside linebacker, Keonta Jenkins.

Outside linebacker, Andre Jones Jr. Cornerback, Anthony Kendall.

Tackle Chase Lunt, wide receiver Ja'Cory Macklin, cornerback Torino Pride Jr., wide receiver Trent Shurfield Sr., Geno Stone, Max Tomczak at wide receiver, fullback Ben Van Sermon, cornerback Connie Walker, and Guard Demetrius Weatherspoon running back Ian Wheeler and punter Mitch Wisniewski.

I think the only one that really stood out because it was his second attempt at a go-round here is Trent Shurfield, but that was a crowded wide receiver room.

Outside linebacker Andre Jones Jr. was cut.

cornerback Anthony Kendall, tackle Chase Lunt, wide receiver Jamori Macklin, cornerback Toriano Pride Jr.

Now, some people are surprised by this.

I wasn't so much, but he was released.

I was right on Toriano Pride, Jordan Dunbar, DJ Miller.

We haven't heard anything about Corey Couch or Anthony Kendall, but I have the Bills cutting bait on both of those players as well.

Jordan Hancock, a surprising riser here this offseason, really solidifying that backup nickel cornerback job.

And I think that gives the Bills comfort in potentially elevating D. Alford to boundary cornerback if they're forced to do so due to injury down the stretch of the season.

Fedarian Mathis is suspended.

They have also released 21 players officially.

That joins the list of 13 players that the Bills had already cut bait on.

Then they released the following 21 players after releasing 13 players the day before.

Prior to the cuts being released, the Bills also announced the trade of center Cedric Van Praan-Granger and a seventh round pick in exchange for a sixth round pick.

All told, when it all comes out in the wash, here are some roster notes to be mindful of for this initial 53-man roster.

Went a little light at corner, as they've done in years past.

I think that means they're going to have to have at least two linebackers corners on the practice squad and obviously Kenai Walker would be a major consideration there.

I thought Jordan Dunbar, even though he was one of the early cuts, I thought he finished the preseason very strong along with the third year guy, Anthony Kendall.

Those two players showed up in the last two preseason games.
