To be clear, that's not what happened with EA.

So, basically, what happens is Anthony Financial, which doesn't have enough money to buy Arthur Holdings, goes around and borrows a bunch of money from anyone who will lend it, And to do that, to borrow money, you need collateral.

And what a leveraged buyout means is you essentially say to these people lending you money that the company that we're buying is collateral for the money you're loaning us.
