Another Brick in the Wall

Roger Waters has a great part to play in the edginess of the album with his creepy vocal delivery.

Particularly, you know, if you imagine the verses of Comfortably Numb or something like that and Another Brick in the Wall, Sweet.

But yeah, there are songs that definitely challenge the listener, like Don't Leave Me Now and One of My Turns and The Trial towards the end of the album.

But yeah, its main strengths is that it's got so many good melodic hooks that turned into big radio hits as well.

So Another Brick in the Wall, Parts 1 and 2. and Happiest Days of Our Lives in between.

Comfortably Numb, of course.

And more than that, kind of like the mastermind of most of the things that Pink Floyd produced.

Me and my brother came across the wall and and we knew that song another brick in the wall part two everybody knows that i could call greer in here right now she's seven and i could say we don't need no education and she would say we don't need no thought control we we know that so rented this and i mean I did not get it at all.

Now, I'm a sheltered, very sheltered 13-year-old, 14-year-old, or maybe 14, 15.

But, man, I didn't get it.

And we haven't even really talked about the actual songs included in this

album.

This scene alone, Comfortably Numb, probably one of the more iconic songs off the album other than Another Brick in the Wall.

It fits perfectly into this sequence.

album was Dark Side.

First song I heard, though, was Another Brick in the Wall because that was on the radio all the fucking time.

Yeah.

I think that's kind of the same with me because I didn't know it was Pink Floyd, Another Brick in the Wall, part two.

Yeah.

I just knew, like, so I remember a friend showing me Dark Side of the Moon.

i was like oh this is really good and yeah so i got that and then i got the wall and because like you know another brick in the wall part two you wouldn't think it's called another because we don't need no education and then so i got the wall you know because i'm like oh a double album that's interesting And then, you know, I heard it.

I'm like, oh, this fucking song.

So, yes, when everybody's doing something, the chances are you should be doing exactly the opposite.

It reminds me of the famous Pink Floyd song, We Don't Need No Education.

Yes.

One of the greats.

Especially after The Wall, you know, which had, um, Comfortably Numb and Another Brick Part 2.

Another Brick in the Wall.

It had Hey You.

Huge radio hits, you know?
