Annihilation

Do you know what that film is? Nope.

That film is the 2018 movie Annihilation.

Oh, cool.

Interestingly enough.

So sometimes with our list, like dramatic things happen suddenly.

So since we met two weeks ago, Annihilation was film number 27 on our list.

which is the 25th film because Lord of the Rings takes up three spots.

We've talked about this before, but it was the final film on our list.

I think even there's that movie that came out.

I guess eight years ago now with Moon Knight and Queen Amidala, Annihilation.

Oh, yes.

I had no idea where you're going with that

I think it was, like, we were just wrapping up a Pride issue or some crazy project I was working on, and I was like, "I don't have time to do it this week.

Like, go ahead." And when I wrote what came out of your mouth in that column, it was as if I was at the very end of the hit movie Annihilation, and I was staring at the alien that had just been birthed in my own form and was about to kill me and replace me like Oscar Isaac.

And it felt scary and exhilarating and thrilling and slightly psychosexual, and I said, "Well, well, I don't get to choose my daughters, but I did get to choose this one." And so now Taylor's here doing a podcast with me.

Now, that's persona.

I love everything that Jeff Vandermeer has ever done.

I own Natalie Portman's costume from Annihilation.

Wait, which one? Which one? The movie Annihilation is based on Jeff Vandermeer's book Annihilation from the Southern Reach.

Now it's a quintilegy, which is awesome.

I'm really excited about that.

Yeah, so I'm such a big fan of Jeff Vandermeer's Annihilation that I own Natalie Portman's costume from the movie.
